About me

Hi, I’m Alejandro Leal, I was born in Hermosillo, Mexico, in 1991 and earned my bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. Creativity has always been a driving force in my life, from drawing and animation to music, 3D modeling, and video games. I’m passionate about exploring new ideas and bringing innovative concepts to life through my projects. For me, design is more than just aesthetics—it's about creating meaningful, engaging experiences that leave a lasting impression.

I have professional experience in the manufacturing industry, working with CNC routers, laser cutting, and adhering to production standards that bridge the gap between design concepts and real-world applications. This hands-on background has deepened my understanding of materials, processes, and the importance of efficiency in design execution.

I’m currently based in Toronto, where I’m pursuing a postgraduate program in Design Management at George Brown College. This program is helping me develop the skills to lead design teams, manage complex projects, and align creative processes with strategic business goals. It’s an exciting step in my professional journey, allowing me to combine my design expertise with strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

I believe design has the power to connect with people on a deeper level, influencing how we see the world and interact with it. For me, great design prioritizes the human experience, using creativity and innovation to challenge perspectives and improve everyday life. By crafting products that resonate emotionally and functionally, I strive to make an impact beyond the surface.
